Renin

Renin is an enzyme playing an important role in the body’s mineral, salt and water (fluid) balance. It participates in the body's renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAS). Renin determination can be used as an aid in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of primary and secondary hyperaldosteronism and hypoaldosteronism.
