Albumin is eliminated from blood into the urine by glomerular filtration, but it is largely (about in 96%) resorbed via tubular filtration. In some pathological processes, the elimination of albumin into urine is increased. It is namely in the case of diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension and renal diseases.
