Albumin

Albumin is eliminated from blood into the urine by glomerular filtration, but it is largely (about in 96%) resorbed via tubular filtration. In some pathological processes, the elimination of albumin into urine is increased. It is namely in the case of diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension and renal diseases. The determination of albumin in urine can be used as the aid in diagnosis of kidney disorders.
